East Orange Little League – A Great Place to Play Ball!

Welcome to East Orange Little League (EOLL), home of the 2010 District 24 All-Star Champions for the 9/10, 10/11 and 11/12 baseball divisions!  EOLL games are played at the beautiful Bithlo Park Complex, 18501 Washington Ave., Bithlo , FL 32820, which showcases five (5) baseball fields and one (1) softball field,  each equipped with lights.  EOLL players have the opportunity to play baseball and softball, during the fall season, as well as the spring season.  All those associated with EOLL – players, coaches, parents, umpires, sponsors and volunteers – have played important roles in making this baseball league one of the premier leagues in central Florida.

Field 3 Gets New "Sun" Banner

Thanks to our great partnership with the Orange County Parks Department and Bithlo Parks Supervisor Chris Irvin, we are excited to announce the completion of the ‘sun’ banner on Field 3.   The banner, which spans the top of the middle backstop, was designed by East Orange Little League sponsor NCompass Designs, and was one of the priority recommendations many EOLL members had made to the Board of Directors over the last two seasons.  Thanks to all of you for your patience with this project and of course, your support of our EOLL fundraisers, which help us fund the projects that matter!

Myth: The batter may not switch batter's boxes after two strikes.

Busted: The batter can switch boxes at any time, provided he does not do it after the pitcher is ready to pitch.

Myth: The batter is out if a bunted ball hits the ground and bounces back up and hits the bat while the batter is holding the bat.

Busted: The rule says the BAT cannot hit the ball a second time. When the BALL hits the bat, it is not an out. Also,
when the batter is still in the box when this happens, it's treated as simply a foul ball. If the batter is out of the
box and the bat is over fair territory when the second hit occurs, the batter would be out. In FED, the second
hit in fair territory must be intentional. If it is "accidental" (an umpire judgment), the ball is alive and the ball is
alive.

Myth: The batter who batted out of order is the person declared out.

Busted: The PROPER batter is the one called out. Any hit or advance made by the batter or runners due to the hit,
walk, error or other reason is nullified. The next batter is the one who follows the proper batter who was called
out.
